Six Testing Methods, Zero Guesswork
Every pledged ornament passes through a layered verification protocol combining non-destructive electronics with classical metallurgy. You watch each test in real time and receive a printed report.
XRF Spectrometry
X-Ray Fluorescence is our primary non-destructive method. A handheld analyser identifies every metal in the alloy and reports exact gold percentage on screen — no scratching, no cutting.
Fire Assay (Cupellation)
The global reference standard for gold purity. A small sample is alloyed with lead, oxidised in a cupel, and the residual gold bead is weighed. Used for ornaments above ₹5 lakh in value.
Touchstone Comparison
A traditional verification using a basalt touchstone and acid reagents. Performed alongside XRF for double-validation on coloured-gold pieces and antique jewellery.
Ultrasonic Density Scan
Detects internal cavities or denser-metal inserts (such as tungsten cores) by measuring sound-wave travel time through the piece. Critical for thick bangles and bars.
Specific Gravity (Archimedes)
Each piece is weighed in air and again submerged in distilled water. The density ratio confirms whether the alloy matches its claimed karat — exposes gold-plated fakes instantly.
Stereo Microscope Inspection
Solder joints, hallmark stamps, and craftsmanship details are inspected under magnification to detect plating, hollow construction, and concealed counterweights.
Multi-Method Cross-Validation
High-value ornaments (above ₹2 lakh) are subjected to a minimum of three independent methods. Results must converge within tolerance before a buyback price is confirmed. If any method shows anomaly, we pause and re-test — your gold is never undervalued by a single faulty reading.
